The drive will be quite long but with the wonderful Tanzanian landscape around you it will only be a pleasure. When arriving at the safari area, there will be time for a walk in the outskirts of the Lake Manyara National Park. The hotel you will stay at this night is Kiboko Tented Lodge. This is hotel that offers you a lot of comfort for a very affordable price. (http://www.equatorialsafaris.com/kiboko/index.htm)

Day 3

On the third day of your safari adventure you will spend the entire day in the wonderful Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is a small but scenic safari park, excellent for birdwatching and a good area to find elephant, as well as the potential excitement of spotting a legendary Lake Manyara tree-climbing lion. Manyara is a magical and scenic park with a horseshoe-shaped driving route through wooded pathways that wend between the banks of the alkaline soda water lake and the impressive rise of the Great Rift escarpment. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo and wildebeest can be found grazing in unexpected clearings in the woodlands or heading towards water sources to drink or wash. The rivers and riverbeds provide scenic vistas for wildlife watching.

Warthog seem to thrive here, and it is a natural playground for baboons and monkeys. The tree-climbing lion of Lake Manyara inspire extensive theorising as to the wonders of evolution. When this wonderful day is over you will return to the Kiboko Tented Lodge where you will stay yet another night.

Day 4

This day will start very early so you will get to experience the magic sunrise over Lake Manyara. After the sunrise Edward will take you back to the Kiboko Tented Lodge where you will have breakfast before heading into the Ngorongoro area. The trip will offer amazing sights and wonderful nature and there might even be time for a visit at a Masai village. At the end of the day we will enter the massive Serengeti plains. The Serengeti National Park is one world’s most unique nature areas and you will see a lot of it while traveling to the beautifully located Seronera Wildlife Lodge (http://www.hotelsandlodges-tanzania.com/properties/en/seronera_index.php), which will be your accommodation for the night.

Day 5

This entire day will be spent exploring and gamedriving in Serengeti. You will see all kinds of animals in their natural environment as the most distinguishing and famous feature of Serengeti is its fauna. In Serengeti you will find the largest concentration of plain animals in Africa, and perhaps the whole world. The sheer number of herbivores amounts to approximately 2.5 million individuals. There are about 30 species of herbivores and 13 species of predators. The different herbivores that can be spotted, just to name a few, are wildebeest, zebra, various gazelles, elephant, buffalo and giraffe. Some of the various predators that can be seen are lion, hyena, leopard and cheetah. You will also experience the astonishing and world famous migration that occurs in Serengeti. There are about 1.5 million wildebeests in Serengeti that are part of the migration. The zebras and the Thomson gazelles are also migrating. The landscape in Serengeti consists mostly of plains, but also of kopjes. The makers of the Lion King spent many weeks in Serengeti to get inspiration on how to draw the landscape. To get more inspiration we recommend that you visit http://www.serengeti.org/ and watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejvffI8tSEg. In the evening we Edward will take you to the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (http://www.hotelsandlodges-tanzania.com/properties/en/ngorongoro_index.php) which is located beautifully on the edge of the Ngorongoro crater.

Day 6

Today you will spend the entire day in the astonishing Ngorongoro crater, which is world heritage site since 1979 and is often referred to as the “Eight Wonder of the World”. The crater is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world. Nearly three million years old, the once-volcanic Ngorongoro is now considered “Africa’s Garden of Eden” – a haven for thousands of wild game, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, rhinos, Thomson’s gazelles and buffaloes. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is inhabited by 30 000 animals, all protected within the confines of the crater walls. Resident zebra, wildebeest, Grants and Thomson’s gazelle are a predator's dream. Tanzania’s few remaining black rhino are protected and regularly sighted in the crater, as are large herds of buffalo. Huge tusked elephants, black-maned lions, cheetah and spotted hyena are also found, as well as thousands of lesser and greater flamingoes in the soda lake. The sights and views you get when driving down in the crater and up from the crater are also absolutely amazing, This night you will stay at the Kudu Lodge (http://www.kuducamp.com)

Day 7

This is the last day of your ultimate safari experience. In these 6 days you have experienced almost everything there is to experience in terms of safari in northern Tanzania. We have designed this trip to give you as much game time in the national parks as possible. The trip will end with Edward taking you to the Kilimanjaro Int. Airport from where you can either continue your African adventure (which we gladly can help you in the planning of) or return to your home country. On the way to the airport there will be some time for shopping souvenirs and other stuff.
